Dear Switzerland,
I miss you dear Switzerland. I am a frontalier citizen and during the Covid-19 crisis, I got confined in my french residence. I have good conditions as I live in a house with a garden and in a small village. I have direct access to the nature and can easily walk outside. I have direct access to shops for food and other goods so I don't miss any vital goods. I can order by postal way goods on popular websites, so I don't miss much secondary goods.
BUT
I miss you dear Switzerland. I have not been able to come to your soil since that monday night where the confinement was proclaimed on Tuesday morning. No more wandering in Geneva's streets and around the lake. No more restaurant and laughs with the family. No more shopping at IKEA or Aligro or Coop. I have all that is needed but I miss all those superfluous moments that rhythm our everyday life as a frontalier in Switzerland.
I miss you dear Switzerland. I can walk around my house but I can not admire the Jet d'Eau from the Jura mountains, The lake is far away from us and invisible from our valley of Pays de Gex. We have no idea when the borders will reopen without constraint for everybody to go both directions. I have no idea when we will be able to freely cross borders and freely exchange cultures again.
I miss you dear Switzerland.
