Wastewater is a mirror of our society and is offering us huge possibilities for a better world.
Wastewater analysis can be used for endemic/heath management systems (e.g. through virus detection for early warnings) and for evaluating and influencing the outputs and outcomes by recovering or transforming wastewater locally into bio-fertilisers, bio-gas, bio-cements and/or bio-polymers and/or other products that are often more efficient, carbon neutral/negative and cheaper than the classical alternatives. This opens good perspectives for local, functional, tasty and organic food security for All and for other necessary changes.
Imagine that thanks to your smart-metered wastewater you would drive a society leaving no one behind and
- get immediate health advice or cares,
- receive biodegradable laundry soap or cosmetics or other products enabling the wastewater transformation to generate value from your wastewater,
- know who has grown crops for vegetable oil for this soap with no micro-pollutants and/or if by adding your organic solid wastes thanks to IoT internet of of things/bins you could have a ride on public transport fuelled with renewable energy
- get part of the profits generated by the wastewater transformation plant in prorata of your wastewater supplies.
Imagine a world in which wastes and/or wastewater would be rewarded if the contents enables profits generations to be shared basis my back2you solution.
Media claiming today lack of advertising revenues could indeed contribute to boost wastewater transformation by informing about the right products or habits that can lead to improved purchase powers, employment and transparent virtuous value chains. The profits of the wastewater biorefineries would be shared with those media, with the wastewater suppliers and/or with products enabling this circular economy virtuous safety net leading to basic revenues for All.
Imagine a Swiss population living in smart-resilient cities or villages that can be connected or disconnected from other places in case of pandemic, cyber or other threats. This is possible without jeopardising the local economy if decentralised wastewater transformation hubs are considered like control and profit centres for our security and for insuring what some investors had forgotten (it's not worth to invest in anything that does not consider the fundamental needs such as good health and basic revenues).
Imagine Switzerland becoming world leader to show that any population could get free access to clean water, dignity and other advantages supported by the value chain of wastewater analysis and of conscious enrichment of water use for the circular economy of raw material (wastewater) that rich and disadvantaged populations and industries generate. Nowadays about 80% of wastewater is not treated in the world (endangering our health, economy and planet) and even in Switzerland there is room to improve the shift from wastewater treatment to wastewater transformation funded mainly by acting as believers in a better life for tomorrow.
I was happy to observe that Swiss citizens applied futures market mechanisms during the Covid19 lockdown to support the culture, their hairdressers or other services/products by pre-paying or not asking reimbursement for those events to be delivered later than without the pandemic crisis. Reversing the supply chains to produce what, where and how its makes sense is possible. Planning is indeed governing. The willingness of any consumer could benefit the aggregation of commitments of other off-takers. The good news is that those orders of goods or services with the wastewater value chain could be done (partially) even without paying any deposit if your wastewater answers certain quality criteria that you can influence yourself. Yes together we can solve simultaneously social, economic and environmental challenges. There is nonetheless an emergency to act now and only with one transparent tool to reach the advantages and benefits by acting locally while considering global interdependencies.
“Tomorrow belongs to those who can hear it coming”, was the slogan of Mr David Bowie. There are infinite possibilities linked to this unavoidable resource renewed constantly. Let's consider wastewater as a gift we receive everyday. You can join and count on my initiative (existing Prior Covid 19) for no longer wasting the unique opportunity offered by our unavoidable resource renewed constantly: wastewater.
